Clinical Indications

• Traumatic skin abrasions, puncture wounds, lacerations, and infected bite tears.

• Infected moist dermatitis ("hot spots"), interdigital furunculosis, and superficial pyoderma.

• Foot and mouth lesions, tail-tip abrasions, and cracked, dry paw pads across dogs, cats, and livestock.

Directions for Use & Application Guidelines

Apply topically twice daily, or as directed by your veterinarian:

1. Wound Preparation: Gently clip the excess fur surrounding the wound or lesion to prevent hair contamination.

2. Cleansing: Clean the wound surface thoroughly using sterile saline or a gentle antiseptic wash (e.g., dilute chlorhexidine) and pat dry with sterile gauze.

3. Application: Apply an adequate layer of Himalaya Scavon Vet Cream directly over the entire wound bed and extend slightly beyond the margins.

4. Frequency: Repeat application twice daily until complete epithelialization and wound closure are achieved.

5. Dressing: Can be left open to air dry or covered with a sterile light gauze dressing depending on the wound depth and location. Use an Elizabethan collar (E-collar) if your pet tends to obsessively lick the freshly applied cream.

• Extensive Larval Infestations: For deep, cavity-like maggoted wounds containing live, burrowed larvae, have a veterinarian extract the deep maggots and clean the tract prior to applying Scavon Cream.
