Moxifloxacin 0.5%
A fluoroquinolone antibiotic used against susceptible bacterial organisms responsible for ocular infections.

Dexamethasone 0.1%
A corticosteroid that helps reduce ocular inflammation, including redness and swelling, when its use is clinically appropriate.

Indications / Uses

Dexaflox may be prescribed for:

• Bacterial eye infections

• Bacterial conjunctivitis

• Ocular inflammation associated with a diagnosed bacterial infection

• Selected cases of post-operative or post-procedural ocular inflammation, when specifically directed by a veterinarian

Common Signs Requiring Veterinary Eye Examination

A veterinarian should assess pets showing signs such as:

• Eye or eyelid redness and swelling

• Abnormal ocular discharge

• Excessive blinking or squinting

• Pawing or rubbing at the eye

• Signs of ocular discomfort

• Conjunctival inflammation

Directions for Use

• Clean away external crusted discharge gently before application if advised.

• Apply the prescribed number of drops directly into the affected eye(s).

• Do not allow the dropper tip to touch the eye, eyelids, fur, or another surface.

• Follow the veterinarian's prescribed frequency and treatment duration.

• Complete the prescribed course unless the veterinarian changes the treatment plan.

• If several doses are missed or the eye becomes worse, contact the veterinarian rather than independently increasing treatment.

Critical Eye Safety Warning

Dexaflox should NOT be used on a corneal ulcer, corneal wound, or an unexamined injured eye unless specifically directed by a veterinarian.

Dexamethasone can interfere with corneal healing and may worsen certain corneal conditions. A veterinary eye examination, often including a fluorescein stain test, may be required before a steroid-containing ophthalmic medicine is prescribed.

If the eye becomes cloudy, remains tightly closed, develops sudden severe redness, or has been injured, seek veterinary examination promptly.
