Clinical & Preventative Indications

• Treatment and control of adult and larval gastrointestinal roundworms (Toxocara cati, Toxascaris leonina).

• Treatment and eradication of feline hookworms (Ancylostoma tubaeforme) causing micro-hemorrhages and anemia.

• Eradication of cestode tapeworm infections (Dipylidium caninum, Taenia taeniaeformis, Echinococcus multilocularis, Joyeuxiella pasqualei).

• Monthly prevention of feline heartworm disease (Dirofilaria immitis) where concurrent tapeworm control is indicated.

• Routine pediatric kitten deworming protocols starting from 6 weeks of age.

• Routine quarterly deworming for petite adult cats (up to 2 kg).

Dosage & Administration Guidelines

Administer orally with or without food. Always weigh your kitten or cat on an accurate digital kitchen scale prior to dosing:

• Administration Protocol:

  • Offer directly by hand, place gently on the back of the tongue, or crush and mix thoroughly into a single teaspoon of wet food or creamy treat.

  • For nursing queens, treat simultaneously alongside the kittens to break the cycle of parasite transmission.

  • In multi-cat households, dose all feline companions on the same day to prevent environmental re-infestation via shared litter boxes.

• Recommended Deworming Schedules:

  • Kittens (Pediatric Schedule): Deworm at 6, 8, 10, and 12 weeks of age, then once monthly until 6 months of age.

  • Adult Cats (>2 kg): Transition to Virbac Milpro for Cats (>2kg) and administer once every 3 months (quarterly).

  • Heartworm Prevention Protocol: Administer once monthly throughout mosquito season under veterinary direction.

Safety Warnings, Precautions & Storage

• Species Specificity: Formulated specifically for felines. Do not administer dog formulations to cats, and do not use this cat product in dogs.

• Minimum Thresholds: Do not administer to kittens under 6 weeks of age or weighing less than 0.5 kg.

• Debilitated Animals: Do not administer to severely dehydrated, debilitated, or hepatic/renal-compromised cats without veterinary evaluation.

• Heartworm Testing: In areas with endemic heartworm, cats should be evaluated for preexisting heartworm infection before starting monthly prophylaxis.

• Possible Side Effects: Adverse reactions are rare; transient lethargy, mild vomiting, or loose stools may occasionally occur within 24 hours as paralyzed worms are expelled.

• Storage: Store below 30°C in a dry place in the original blister pack away from direct sunlight. Return split half-tablets to the original blister pocket and use within 6 months. Keep strictly out of reach of children and domestic pets.
