Clinical Indications

• Relief of acute pain and inflammation associated with orthopedic and soft tissue surgeries (e.g., ovariohysterectomy/spay, castration/neuter, dental extractions, wound debridement).

• Acute musculoskeletal pain, strains, sprains, and blunt traumatic soft-tissue injuries.

• Short-term management of acute inflammatory fever (antipyretic therapy).

• Feline osteoarthritic acute flare-ups under strict veterinary supervision.

Dosage & Administration Guidelines

Administer strictly according to your veterinarian’s written prescription and weight chart.

• Target Therapeutic Dose: 1 mg to 2.4 mg per kg body weight once daily (every 24 hours). The standard clinical target dose is 1 mg/kg once daily.

• Standard Feline Weight Dosing Guide (6 mg Tablet):

  • Cats weighing 2.5 kg to 6 kg: 1 tablet (6 mg) once daily.

  • Cats weighing > 6 kg up to 12 kg: 2 tablets (12 mg) once daily.

  • (Do not administer to cats weighing under 2.5 kg unless specifically calibrated by a vet).

• Course Duration:

  • Typically prescribed for up to 3 consecutive days for acute post-surgical pain and soft tissue trauma.

  • Do not extend the duration of treatment beyond your veterinarian's recommendation.

• Administration Instructions:

  • Administer orally once daily at approximately the same time each day.

  • For optimal bioavailability, administer on an empty stomach (at least 30 minutes before or after a meal). However, if your cat resists or exhibits gastric sensitivity, the tablet may be concealed inside a very small bite of wet food or cat paste.

  • Do not break, crush, or split tablets.

Safety Warnings, Precautions & Storage

• Feline Specific Formulation: Formulated exclusively for cats. Do not administer to dogs or other species.

• Hydration Status: Ensure the cat is well-hydrated and hemodynamically stable before administration. Avoid use in dehydrated, hypovolemic, or hypotensive patients, as NSAID therapy during reduced renal perfusion can increase the risk of acute renal decompensation.

• Drug Interactions: Never combine Robenatail concurrently with other NSAIDs (e.g., meloxicam, carprofen) or corticosteroids (e.g., prednisolone, dexamethasone). Maintain a suitable washout period when switching anti-inflammatory therapies.
