Directions for Use & Step-by-Step Application

1. Cleanse: Gently cleanse the affected lesion with mild antiseptic wash or sterile saline solution. Remove crusts and pat thoroughly dry with a sterile gauze pad.

2. Trim Fur (If Needed): Carefully clip excess hair around the affected patch to allow the ointment direct skin contact.

3. Apply: Apply a thin, even layer of Staphban Ointment directly over the lesion.

4. Frequency: Administer 2 to 3 times daily, or as specifically directed by your attending veterinarian.

5. Prevent Licking: Crucial Step. Distract your dog with a toy, treat, or meal for 10–15 minutes post-application to allow dermal absorption, or use an Elizabethan recovery collar (E-collar) to prevent licking off the medication.

6. Course Completion: Continue application for the full prescribed duration (usually 7 to 14 days)—even if the skin looks visually clear—to prevent bacterial relapse.
