Active Ingredients & Mechanism of Action

• Fipronil IP (9.8% w/v): A broad-spectrum phenylpyrazole ectoparasiticide. Upon topical application, Fipronil migrates through the lipid layer and accumulates inside hair follicles and sebaceous glands. When ticks and fleas contact the treated hair coat, Fipronil selectively blocks their GABA-gated chloride channels and glutamate-gated chloride (GluCl) channels. This produces continuous neurological overstimulation, muscular paralysis, and death.

• (S)-Methoprene (8.8% w/v): An insect growth regulator (IGR). It mimics natural juvenile growth hormones in fleas, halting chitin development and embryonic progression. As a result, eggs cannot hatch and larvae cannot pupate into biting adults.

Selection Tip: Always weigh your dog accurately before purchasing. If your dog is at the borderline of a weight band, choose the higher weight-band pipette.

Step-by-Step Directions for Use

1. Prepare the Pipette: Hold the single-dose pipette upright away from your face. Snap or twist off the top tip along the score line.

2. Expose the Skin: Part the dog’s hair at the base of the neck / between the shoulder blades until the skin is clearly exposed. (Applying at the base of the skull ensures the dog cannot lick the area.)

3. Apply Directly to Skin: Place the pipette tip firmly against the bare skin and squeeze the entire contents out onto a single spot. Do not rub in or spread across multiple spots.

4. Drying Phase: Allow the site to air-dry completely (approx. 30 to 45 minutes). Keep other household pets and children away from the wet application site.

5. The 48-Hour Water Rule: Do not bathe your dog or allow swimming for 48 hours before or after application. Water and shampoos temporarily strip the skin's natural lipid layer, which is essential for carrying the active Fipronil across the entire body surface.

6. Schedule: Repeat once every 30 days for continuous year-round protection.

Safety Warnings & Precautions

• ⚠️ NEVER USE ON CATS: Fipronil canine formulations and high volumes can trigger severe adverse neurological reactions in cats. For feline friends, use species-specific products like Revolution or Frontline for Cats.

• Minimum Age/Weight: Safe for puppies from 8 weeks of age weighing at least 2 kg.

• Do Not Double Dose: In case of a missed monthly application, apply one pipette immediately and resume the 30-day schedule from that date. Never apply two pipettes at once.

• Skin Condition: Apply only to clean, healthy, unbroken skin. Do not apply over open wounds, burns, or extensive eczematous lesions.
