Directions for Use & Bathing Protocol

For external cutaneous bath wash on dogs only:

1. Complete Coat Saturation: Saturate your dog's coat thoroughly with lukewarm water from the neck to the base of the tail. For dense, double-coated dogs, take extra time to ensure the water reaches the skin.

2. Targeted Application: Apply a generous amount of Softas Plus starting at the neck and shoulders, working backward toward the tail. Massage against the direction of hair growth to ensure the shampoo reaches the skin.

3. Target High-Density Parasite Zones: Work up a thick lather, paying special attention to:

   • Inside and around ear margins (avoiding the canal)

   • The neck and chest folds

   • The underbelly and groin (inguinal) area

   • Interdigital paw webs and base of the tail

4. MANDATORY CONTACT TIME (10 Minutes Minimum): Leave the lather on the coat for a full 10 minutes before rinsing. (Set a timer. This contact duration is essential for 2% Propoxur to paralyze embedded ticks and their mouthparts).

5. Thorough Rinsing: Rinse completely with clean running water until all foam and residue are washed away. Incomplete rinsing of concentrated formulations can cause localized skin dryness.

6. Post-Bath Care: Towel dry thoroughly and keep the dog indoors until dry.

7. Treatment Frequency:

   • Active Infestation: Bathe twice weekly for 2 consecutive weeks.

   • Preventative Maintenance: Step down to once every 2 to 3 weeks, or transition to standard Intas Softas (1%).

• STRICT FELINE WARNING (DO NOT USE ON CATS): Contraindicated in cats. Softas Plus contains 2% Propoxur and is not formulated for feline metabolism. For multi-pet households, keep recently bathed dogs separated from cats until the coat is completely dry.

• Age Restrictions: Do not use on puppies under 4 weeks of age. For puppies between 4 and 12 weeks, consult a veterinarian prior to use.

• Avoid Eyes and Mucous Membranes: Avoid contact with the eyes, nose, mouth, and inside the ear canal. If accidental contact occurs, flush immediately with copious clean water.
