Active Composition & Mechanism of Action

• Each 5 ml of Reconstituted Suspension Contains:

  • Amoxicillin Trihydrate IP equivalent to Amoxicillin: 200 mg

  • Potassium Clavulanate IP equivalent to Clavulanic Acid: 50 mg

• Drug Class: Potentiated Penicillin / Beta-Lactam Antibiotic with Beta-Lactamase Inhibitor.

• Mode of Action: Amoxicillin binds to penicillin-binding proteins (PBPs) inside the bacterial cell wall, preventing peptidoglycan synthesis and causing osmotic lysis. Clavulanate bonds irreversibly to bacterial beta-lactamase enzymes, restoring amoxicillin's full antibacterial spectrum against resistant strains.

Dosage, Reconstitution & Administration Guidelines

Administer strictly according to your veterinarian's written prescription.

• Clinical Dosage: 12.5 mg combined activity per kg body weight twice daily (every 12 hours).

  • (Equivalent to approximately 0.25 ml of reconstituted syrup per 1 kg body weight every 12 hours).

• How to Reconstitute:

  1. Shake the bottle to loosen the dry powder.

  2. Slowly add the sterile water (provided in the pack) up to the ring mark on the bottle.

  3. Close the cap tightly and shake vigorously until an even, smooth suspension is formed.

  4. Allow foam to settle; add water up to the graduation mark if required.

• Administration:

  • Shake thoroughly before each dose.

  • Administer directly into the pet's cheek pouch using an oral dosing syringe or mix into a small amount of moist food.

  • Recommended duration: 5 to 7 days, or continued for 48 hours after all symptoms have cleared.

Safety Warnings & Storage Instructions

• Penicillin Sensitivity: Contraindicated in animals with known hypersensitivity to penicillins, cephalosporins, or beta-lactam antibiotics.

• Small Herbivore Contraindication: Do not administer to rabbits, guinea pigs, hamsters, or chinchillas; penicillins can cause fatal clostridial enterotoxemia in these species.

• Digestive Tolerance: Mild, temporary diarrhea or vomiting may occur; administering with a light meal minimizes stomach sensitivity.

• Storage After Reconstitution: Once mixed with sterile water, store the liquid suspension in a refrigerator (2°C to 8°C) and use within 7 days. Do not freeze. Discard any unused reconstituted syrup after 7 days.
