Directions for Use & Bathing Protocol

For external canine topical use only under veterinary guidance:

1. Coat Wetting: Thoroughly soak the dog's coat with lukewarm water from the back of the neck down to the tail (protect eyes and ears).

2. Targeted Lathering: Apply an adequate quantity of Clinar Pet. Work into a rich lather, ensuring it reaches the skin surface where parasites feed. Focus on common hiding spots:

   • Behind and under the ear flaps

   • Around the neck and under the collar

   • Groin, armpits, and underside of the belly

   • Interdigital web spaces between all four paws

   • Around the base of the tail

3. MANDATORY CONTACT TIME (5 to 10 Minutes): Allow the lather to remain on the dog for a full 5 to 10 minutes. (Do not rush this step—Cypermethrin requires prolonged contact time to achieve full neurotoxic penetration into ticks). Monitor your dog closely to prevent licking; use a bath muzzle if necessary.

4. Thorough Rinsing: Rinse at least 2 to 3 times with clean running lukewarm water until the rinse water runs completely clear of lather. Residual shampoo can cause local skin dryness.

5. Drying: Towel dry thoroughly or blow-dry on a cool setting. Brush the coat with a flea/tick comb to dislodge dead and detached parasites.

6. Treatment Frequency: Repeat after 7 days if live parasites persist, or as advised by your veterinarian.

Critical Safety Warnings, Contraindications & Storage

• CRITICAL FELINE CONTRAINDICATION (TOXIC TO CATS): DO NOT USE ON CATS. Felines lack the hepatic glucuronidation enzyme pathways required to safely metabolize synthetic pyrethroids like cypermethrin. Exposure can cause life-threatening neurotoxicity (salivation, tremors, seizures, and death). Do not allow cats to groom treated dogs until the dog's coat is rinsed and completely dry.

• Puppy Age Restriction: Do NOT use on puppies under 12 weeks (3 months) of age. Young puppies have a more permeable skin barrier and underdeveloped hepatic clearance.

• Broken Skin Warning: Do not apply to dogs with deep open lacerations, raw bleeding hot spots, or extensive ulcerations.

• Facial Application: Protect eyes, nose, and mouth during bathing. In case of accidental ocular contact, flush immediately with copious clean water.
