Directions for Use & Ear Flushing Protocol

For otic ear canal application only:

1. Bottle Preparation: Shake well before each use. Warm the bottle slightly between your palms for 1 to 2 minutes so the fluid is comfortable and does not startle the pet.

2. Instillation: Gently hold the ear flap (pinna) upward and slightly backward to straighten the L-shaped canal. Generously fill the ear canal with Ambiflush solution.

3. Canal Base Massage: Gently massage the base of the ear canal for 25 to 30 seconds. You should hear a soft squelching sound as the liquid works through and emulsifies the wax deposits.

4. Natural Head Shake: Step back and allow your pet to shake its head. This centrifugal motion helps bring deep debris and loosened wax up into the outer ear flap.

5. Wipe Visible Debris: Using a clean cotton pad or gauze, gently wipe away the expelled wax and liquid from the outer ear flap and visible canal entrance. Never insert cotton buds (Q-tips) into the ear canal, as this can push debris deeper or injure the eardrum.

6. Application Frequency:

   • Before Medicated Drops: Use 10 to 15 minutes prior to applying medicated ear drops (such as Intas Pomisol), allowing the ear canal to dry.

   • Active Wax Build-up: Use once to twice daily for 7 to 10 days, or as directed by your veterinarian.

   • Routine Maintenance: Use once weekly or bi-weekly to maintain clean, odor-free ears.

Critical Safety Warnings, Precautions & Storage

• CRITICAL TYMPANIC MEMBRANE (EARDRUM) WARNING: Do NOT use if the eardrum is ruptured or suspected to be perforated. Chlorhexidine can cause ototoxicity (vestibular dysfunction or hearing loss) if it enters the middle or inner ear. If your pet shows severe pain, head tilting, bloody discharge, or unsteadiness, consult your veterinarian for an otoscopic examination before using any flush.

• FOR OTIC USE ONLY: For animal ear use only. Do NOT use in the eyes.

• Temporary Head Shaking: Brief head shaking immediately following instillation is normal as loosened liquid tickles the canal.

• Storage: Store below 25°C in a dry place protected from direct heat and sunlight. Do not freeze. Keep the nozzle capped tightly. Keep strictly out of reach of children and domestic pets.
