Directions for Use & Bathing Protocol

For external topical bath wash on dogs and cats only:

1. Coat Wetting: Thoroughly wet your pet's entire coat with lukewarm water from the back of the neck down to the tail. (Avoid pouring water directly into the face, eyes, or inner ear canals).

2. Apply Shampoo: Pour a generous amount into your palms and massage starting from the neck and shoulders, working backward toward the hindquarters.

3. Build Lather in High-Risk Zones: Massage against the direction of hair growth down to the skin, focusing on common parasite harborages:

   • Neck and scruff area

   • Chest and underbelly

   • Groin and axillary folds (armpits)

   • Interdigital paw spaces and base of the tail

4. MANDATORY CONTACT TIME (5 to 10 Minutes): Allow the lather to remain on the coat for 5 to 10 minutes before rinsing. (This contact period is essential for Propoxur to paralyze embedded ticks and fleas). Prevent your pet from licking the wet foam during this time.

5. Rinse Thoroughly: Rinse with plenty of clean running water until the runoff is completely clear. Incomplete rinsing of medicated soaps can cause localized skin dryness.

6. Drying & Isolation: Towel dry thoroughly and keep the pet indoors in a clean area for at least 30 minutes.

7. Bathing Schedule:

   • Active Infestation: Bathe once to twice weekly for 2 consecutive weeks.

   • Preventative Maintenance: Bathe every 2 to 3 weeks, particularly during humid summer and monsoon months.

• Age Restrictions: Do not use on puppies or kittens under 4 weeks of age. For pets aged 4 to 12 weeks, use under veterinary guidance.

• Prevent Ingestion & Self-Grooming: Prevent pets from licking the wet shampoo lather during the bath. Ingestion can cause transient hypersalivation or gastrointestinal upset due to bitter surfactant agents.

• Avoid Eyes and Mucous Membranes: Avoid contact with eyes, nose, mouth, and internal ear canals. If accidental contact occurs, flush immediately with copious clean water.
