Directions for Use & Clinical Bathing Protocol

Use under veterinary supervision according to the following protocol:

1. Pre-Wash Wetting: Wet the pet's coat and skin thoroughly with lukewarm water.

2. Application: Apply Virbac Ketochlor across the spine, neck, underbelly, and affected skin folds. Massage gently into the hair coat down to the skin to generate a rich lather.

3. CRITICAL CONTACT TIME: Allow the lather to remain on the skin and coat for a full 5 to 10 minutes before rinsing. (This contact duration is required for ketoconazole and chlorhexidine to penetrate microbial cell membranes).

4. Rinsing & Drying: Rinse thoroughly with clear, lukewarm water until all traces of shampoo are removed. Towel dry gently with a clean towel. Avoid aggressive hot blow-drying on inflamed skin.

5. Recommended Frequency:

   • Active Infection Treatment: Bathe 2 to 3 times weekly for 3 to 4 consecutive weeks (or until microbial clearance is confirmed by cytology).

   • Maintenance / Recurrence Prevention: Bathe once weekly or once every 14 days as advised by your veterinarian.
