Step-by-Step Directions for Use

1. Clean the Affected Area: Gently cleanse the infected lesion with sterile saline or a pet-safe antiseptic wash to remove crusted exudates, purulent discharge, and dirt. Pat dry with a clean gauze pad.

2. Trim Surrounding Hair (If Necessary): Carefully clip excess matted fur around the lesion (especially for hot spots) to allow direct skin contact and proper ventilation.

3. Application: Squeeze a small ribbon of Staphban-F Ointment onto a clean fingertip or sterile cotton swab. Apply a thin, even film directly over the lesion.

4. Frequency: Apply 2 to 3 times daily (every 8 to 12 hours) or as directed by your veterinarian.

5. Prevent Licking: Keep your pet from licking the site for 15 to 20 minutes post-application to allow full drug absorption (use an Elizabethan/cone collar or a recovery suit if necessary).

6. Duration: Continue treatment for 5 to 7 days, or for 48 hours after the lesion appears fully resolved, to prevent localized relapse.

Safety Warnings & Precautions

• For Topical External Animal Use Only: Strictly avoid contact with the eyes, nostrils, inside the mouth, and open ear canals.

• Not for Puncture Wounds Involving Body Cavities: Do not pack into deep surgical cavities or deep animal puncture bites without veterinary drainage.

• Corticosteroid Precautions: Prolonged, uninterrupted use over large surface areas can lead to localized epidermal thinning (cutaneous atrophy) or systemic corticosteroid absorption. Do not use continuously for more than 14 days without veterinary re-evaluation.

• Avoid Ingestion: Prevent pets from licking the treated area. Minor ingestion of a thin layer is generally not toxic, but frequent ingestion may cause mild gastrointestinal upset.
