Clinical Indications

• Treatment of dermatophytosis (Ringworm) caused by Microsporum canis, Microsporum gypseum, and Trichophyton mentagrophytes.

• Treatment of yeast dermatitis (Malassezia pachydermatis) on paw pads, skin folds, and localized coat patches.

• Inflammatory, itchy fungal dermatoses accompanied by localized erythema, crusting, and scaling.

• Interdigital dermatitis and pododermatitis involving mixed fungal and inflammatory components.

Directions for Use & Application Protocol

Apply topically according to your veterinarian’s instructions.

1. Cleanse & Dry: Gently clean the affected area with mild pet-safe antiseptic or warm water to remove loose crusts, dirt, and discharge. Pat completely dry with a clean towel.

2. Apply Thin Layer: Squeeze a small ribbon of Terbopet M Ointment and spread a thin, uniform film directly over the lesion and slightly beyond the active perimeter.

3. Frequency: Apply twice daily (every 12 hours) or as directed by your attending veterinarian.

4. Prevent Licking (Crucial): Keep your pet distracted with a treat or toy, or use an Elizabethan (E-collar) / recovery cone for 10 to 15 minutes until the ointment has fully absorbed.

5. Course Duration: Continue treatment for the full prescribed period (often 1 to 2 weeks beyond the disappearance of visible lesions) to prevent fungal relapse.

• For external topical veterinary use on dogs and cats only. Not for ophthalmic (eye) use or internal ingestion.

• Do not apply inside open, deep, or heavily ulcerated wounds. Avoid contact with eyes, nostrils, and mucous membranes.

• Prevent Ingestion: Discourage persistent licking of the treated site to avoid ingestion of corticosteroid components.

• Wash hands thoroughly with soap and warm water immediately after application (or wear disposable gloves), as ringworm can be zoonotic (transmissible to humans).

• Storage: Store in a cool, dry place below 25°C. Do not freeze. Keep the tube cap tightly secured after every use. Keep strictly out of reach of children and household pets.
