Directions for Use & Ear Administration Protocol

For otic ear canal administration only under direct veterinary supervision:

1. Pre-Treatment Cleaning (Essential Step): Do not administer drops into an ear packed with thick cerumen or purulent discharge, as exudates block drug absorption. Clean the ear canal using a gentle flush (such as Virbac Epiotic or Intas Ambiflush), allow the pet to shake out loosened wax, gently wipe the outer ear with clean gauze, and let dry for 10–15 minutes.

2. Expose the Ear Canal: Hold the ear flap (pinna) upward and slightly backward to straighten the natural L-shaped canal.

3. Instill Drops: Squeeze the prescribed number of drops directly into the canal opening. Avoid touching the dropper tip to the infected ear to keep the bottle clean.

   • General Guideline: 3 to 5 drops per affected ear, administered once or twice daily, or strictly as prescribed by your veterinarian.

4. Base Massage: Gently massage the cartilage at the base of the ear for 20 to 30 seconds until you hear a wet squelching sound, ensuring the liquid flows into the horizontal canal.

5. Wipe Excess: Allow your pet to shake its head; wipe away dislodged debris and excess fluid from the outer ear flap with sterile gauze.

6. Complete the Course: Complete the full 7 to 10-day prescribed course, even if redness and itching resolve within 48 hours, to prevent microbial recurrence.

• FOR OTIC USE ONLY: Strictly for ear canal administration. Do NOT use as eye drops. Accidental ocular application can cause severe irritation or corneal damage.

• Eardrum Integrity Warning: A veterinarian should examine the ear canal to verify that the tympanic membrane (eardrum) is intact before instilling drops. Do not use in cases of suspected eardrum perforation.

• Steroid Duration: Contains Beclomethasone Dipropionate. Do not extend treatment duration without veterinary review to prevent local tissue thinning or systemic steroid effects.
