Directions for Use & Ear Administration Protocol

For otic ear canal administration only under direct veterinary supervision:

1. Pre-Treatment Cleaning (Critical Step): Do not apply drops into an ear canal clogged with thick wax or pus, as discharge deactivates active molecules. Gently flush the canal with a veterinary ear cleaner (such as Virbac Epiotic or Intas Ambiflush), massage the base, allow the pet to shake out loosened wax, and gently wipe dry with clean cotton or sterile gauze. Allow the canal to dry for 10–15 minutes.

2. Exposing the Canal: Gently lift the ear flap (pinna) upward and slightly backward to straighten the natural L-shaped ear canal.

3. Instilling the Drops: Squeeze the prescribed number of drops directly into the ear canal opening. Avoid touching the dropper tip to the infected ear to keep the bottle sterile.

   • General Guideline: 3 to 5 drops per affected ear, administered 1 to 2 times daily, or strictly as directed by your veterinarian.

4. Base Massage: Gently massage the cartilage at the base of the ear for 20 to 30 seconds. You should hear a characteristic wet squelching sound as the solution travels from the vertical canal down into the horizontal canal.

5. Head Shaking: Allow your pet to shake its head; gently wipe away any expelled excess medication from the outer ear flap with clean gauze.

6. Course Completion: Complete the full 7 to 10-day veterinary prescribed course, even if symptoms improve within 48 hours, to prevent microbial recurrence.

• EAR CANAL USE ONLY: Strictly for otic administration. Do NOT use as eye drops. Accidental ocular application can cause corneal injury.

• Tympanic Membrane (Eardrum) Warning: Prior to instilling, a veterinarian must examine the ear with an otoscope to confirm the tympanic membrane is intact. Do not use in ears with suspected eardrum rupture or perforation.

• Steroid Course Caution: Contains Beclomethasone Dipropionate. Do not continue use beyond the veterinarian's recommended duration to prevent local tissue thinning or systemic steroid effects.
